RTA tests project to monitor performance of drivers, says official.

وقد ركبت هيئة الطرق والمواصلات كاميرات الدوائر التلفزيونية المغلقة في سيارات الأجرة كجزء من مشروع تجريبي ل مراقبة أداء السائقين ولل الأمن العام, a senior official told Gulf News on Tuesday.

Abdullah Yousuf Al Ali, CEO, Public Transport Agency, RTA, said: “The installation of cameras in taxis is a project under trial. Each taxi includes three CCTVs, one on the driver only [not covering passengers] and the الآخران لالخلفي والأمامي [outside the vehicle].”
