20 Dec December 20, 2018 HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, stated that the initiative of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to declare 2019 as the Year of Tolerance underscores the true path of the UAE in fostering the values of tolerance and peace worldwide. “Under the leadership of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the UAE has become a model of tolerance and multicultural co-existence for more than 200 nationalities, enjoying decent life and respect,” said Al Tayer. “We, at RTA, take pride in the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to name one of the most appealing pedestrian bridges in Dubai as the Tolerance Bridge.
